At our musical improv jams, everyone is invited on stage as we play games. As a group, we learn about how songs are made. By the end of the night, we’re all singing your song moments after you’ve created it.

As Baltimore Musical Improv, we want you to be part of our fun community where we make up songs and stories together in improvised musicals. We’re a nonprofit project – fiscally hosted by the 501(c)(3) Fractured Atlas – dedicated to spreading the joy of musical improvisation in Baltimore.
You can join us as a co-organizer, and you can help decide how we create musical improv together. You can choose how you want to be involved, and we welcome your ideas! Learn important skills like community organizing, marketing, and communication. You can help plan events and host workshops. We will support you and help you feel confident in your role, so you can shine and have fun!

- Intro to Musical Improv! 5-Week Class at Baltimore Improv Group starts Oct. 5Starts Sunday, October 5. Learn to improvise a musical comedy show in just five weeks! You’ll build songs and scenes from scratch, with classmates who are just as new (and nervous!) as you. Whether you fear karaoke, you’ve belt show tunes in the car, missing your high school theater life, or just want to try something really different and joyful, this class is for you. You don’t have to know how to sing. Your character already knows!
You’ll walk out with a tune in your heart.
All of the lyrics, all of our piano music, and all of the comedic scenes you see get made up on the spot based on your simple single audience suggestion.
